When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. The retention phase lasts for a minimum of 12 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to brush before putting your retainers in at night.
Most patients finishing full treatment wear clear aligners at bedtime after treatment is completed. Phase I patients once treated will wear an upper removable retainer full time, to be removed after eating to brush teeth and the retainer.
